Soon you will see that holiday breaks for the first semester have been added to Edgenuity. This was to ensure that your assignment dates aligned with the school calendar. If you are making progress, you should still be on target or ahead. Please remember that due dates are a guide and your grade will modify as you complete assignments.

Parent FAQs

How do I get my child’s log-in information for Edgenuity?

Your virtual learner should have already received his/her log-in information. To log-in follow these steps: 

Go to www.edgenuity.com

For username, type your firstname.lastname

For Password:  6 digit lunch number

If this doesn’t work, contact your child’s counselor using the Contact Us tab found under the school’s Virtual Learners page. 

Can my child receive a Chromebook?

Yes, please contact your child’s school for specific times to pick-up Chromebooks. We recommend that your student logs into his/her Chromebook before leaving the school to ensure that he/she remembers the password. We also recommend that the student logs into your Edgenuity account before leaving the school to ensure that he/she can access assigned courses.

Do I need to have internet?

Virtual learners are expected to have access to the internet. 

When should my child work on assignments?

Please create a schedule with your child so that he/she is completing assignments during the school day.  Assignments are also available over the weekend. Counselors will be monitoring attendance, so please make sure your child is consistently logging in and completing assignments.  It is recommended that students work a minimum of 60 minutes per day per class so that they reach their expected progress.

I see more than one grade in Edgenuity. Which one will be recorded in PowerSchool?

Your child’s recorded grade will be the “actual grade” in Edgenuity.

Should my child also be working on Google Classroom assignments?

Virtual learners will work in Edgenuity with the exception of select CTAE classes at the high school.  These students should have received an email from their teacher regarding their expectations.

Student FAQs

When should I be working on assignments?

You should create a schedule during the school day to complete assignments. It is recommended that you spend at least one hour/day on assignments in each assigned class.  Your counselor will be monitoring your attendance.You have access to your assignments during the week and on weekends this semester.

How much progress should I make each day?

Students should make 1% of progress per day per content; however, we understand that students work at different rates.  You should use the progress monitoring tool in the program to monitor your progress. This tool will be green if you are ahead of schedule, blue if you are on target, and red means that you are behind schedule.

What do I do if I am locked out of a quiz?

If you have been locked out of a quiz, you have completed the set number of times to complete a quiz. You should review the skills that were included on the quiz, and contact your teacher for that class.  Your teacher may reset your quiz one additional time.  However, you may be provided additional practice and resources to review before your quiz is reset.
