Okefenokee Rural Electric Membership Corporation's Board of Directors recently awarded the SMMS FFA Program with a $5,000 grant to help with the purchase of a truck trailer. Presenting the award to FFA Officers Van Blount and Nela Clark was Mrs. Sonya B. Walker.

Junior Beta

The Junior Beta Club at St. Marys Middle School participated in the annual Kiwanis Club Thanksgiving Food Drive by collecting can items and non-perishable food items. SMMS students and staff donated more than 2,000 items during this two week challenge! The top homerooms in each grade level were Mrs. Groomes in 6th grade, Mrs. Mercier in 7th grade and Ms. Bosworth in 8th grade! A huge thank you goes out to all the families who donated items to help provide for our community. Way to go SMMS!
