Mrs. McGraw’s students carefully dissected regurgitated owl pellets to extract and assemble real animal bones. By identifying prey skeletons such as rodents, birds, and shrews, students gained hands-on insight into owl diets and food web dynamics by identifying the owl as a predator and its contents as prey.

Bird Club students have been brushing up on their field journaling skills by taking an art class to master four basic bird shapes (pigeon, seagull, sparrow, eagle.) They then applied those skills to drawing some of Georgia’s native bird species, adding in details like color and habitat. They did an amazing job!
